سامية الزرو فنانة فلسطينية الأصل ومتعددة التخصصات. في ثمانينيات القرن الماضي، كانت أول فنانة في الأردن تنشئ أعمالاً تركيبية للأماكن العامة، وغالباً ما تكون جدارياتها وأعمالها الفنية الحضرية مصنوعة من المواد المتاحة والموجودة مسبقاً، ويمكن العثور عليها في مواقع مختلفة في مدينة عمان
These two pieces are samples of Samia Zaru’s signature style, creating monumental sculptures constructed with bits of metal collected through urban mining. The artist’s Palestinian heritage is predominant in her works through different patterns and symbols.
Samia Zaru is a renowned Palestinian-born multimedia artist, designer, painter and sculptor. In the 1980s, she was the first artist in Jordan to create installations for public spaces, and her murals and urban art are often made of found materials and can be located in various sites across the city of Amman.
