Laboratory Of The Future

In the fall of 2020, an interdisciplinary team of cultural actors in Jordan started the process of imagining a hybrid cultural event that sought to respond to the effects of the pandemic, fostering new narratives of social bonding.

During the 6-week residency, the 9 residents invited 4 experts from different fields including education, mental health, as well as the visual and performing arts to talk about more targetted effects of the pandemic.
The residency concluded with the submission of an extensive paper proposing the final form Remote Closeness the exhibition would take.
