Amman lacks the presence of public places. Even in the available ones, there are always restrictions, whether they are physical, psychological, or societal. During this research, Rita asks the questions: “What if our city was ours?”, “What if public spaces were equally available to all?”, “What if these places offered opportunities for cooperation between communities? Opportunities for dialogues, ideas, and even art?”. Rita digs into the folds of her questions by making short exercises or prompts that city dwellers could follow and reexperience their cities through her eyes. These exercises allow audiences to make art with the city using its public spaces. The artist belives that by making very private art in a public space in the city, we can, for a brief moment reclaim it, regardless of how it may have margeniised us through its urban and architectural divisions.
