اتخذت المرحلة الأخيرة من برنامج ’تقارب عن بعد‘ شكل إقامة فنية. حيث دعت الإقامة المبدعين من خلفيات فنية مختلفة لاستكشاف مستقبل الممارسات الفنية، وتحديداً في السياق الأردني تحت إشراف الفنان رائد إبراهيم.
من خلال مشاريعهم، استكشف المقيمين إجابات على الأسئلة التالية:
ماذا لو لم يكن “الوضع الطبيعي الجديد” هو العالم المثالي الذي نريد العيش فيه؟
ماذا لو كان بإمكانك إعادة تعريف دورك كممارس/ة للفنون ضمن واقع متخيل؟
ما هو الدور الذي قد يلعبه الفن في “الوضع الطبيعي الآخر”؟ وماهو الشكل الذي سيتخذه؟
وعليه كيف ستعمل أنظمتنا الحياتية؟

The final phase of Remote Closeness took shape as a residency program. The residency invited creatives from various artistic backgrounds to explore the future of art practices, specifically in the Jordanian context under the mentorship of artist Raed Ibrahim.
Through their projects, the residents explored possible answers to the following questions:
What if the ‘new’ normal is not the ideal world we want to live in?
What if you could redefine your role as an art practitioner, within an imagined reality?
What part would art play in an other normal? What form would it take?
How would our systems of being function?
The Remote Closeness residents are: Hescham Karshan, Laith Al Tarawneh, Salameh Salameh Salameh, Grace Huynh, Sima Qunsol, Rita Akroush, Abed Riadh, and Laila AlHajbi.
