A video art piece that explores the parallels between the passing of time and the absence of space. The constant whirring of the ceiling fan, overlayed with the sounds of busy Cairo streets, brings forth notions of movement, stillness, isolation and proximity.

Doha Aboelezz is an Egyptian multidisciplinary artist who was raised between the UAE and Egypt. Aboelezz’s practice is influenced by the locations and the people who surrounded her throughout her life. She focuses on exploring and investigating concepts of home, locality and belonging through experimentation with media such as, but not limited to, photography, sculpture, and everyday objects. Her work has been exhibited regionally and internationally.
